Ronald Peterson passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Shirley Peterson; son Gary; grandchildren, Tammy Billingsley (Brad), John Lundy and William Peterson; as well as many great-grandchildren.
Ron was born on July 30, 1935 in Winnipeg Manitoba. His adventures took him all over western Canada before settling back in Winnipeg in the 1980s where he worked at Fort Garry Industries until his retirement. Ron was an avid fisherman and enjoyed traveling all over Manitoba with Shirley to various lakes and parks in their camper van. In his younger years he travelled many miles through Alberta and B.C. on motorcycle trips with his son Gary.
Ron will be lovingly remembered as a devoted husband and loving grandfather.
